"Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change."

Jim Rohn

When One Person Heals, the Whole Family Can Change.

Your Family is a System. We're Here to Help It Heal.

When one member of a family is struggling with a mental health, behavioral, or substance use challenge, it doesn't happen in a vacuum. It impacts every single person in the family unit. You might feel confused, frustrated, scared, or unsure how to help. This is normal.

At Changes, our family-focused care is built on a simple, powerful truth: Connection is the foundation for recovery.

We move away from blame and focus on patterns and solutions. Our goal is to bring your family together in a safe, guided space. We help you untangle complex dynamics, learn new ways to communicate, and transform your home into the most powerful source of support and healing it can be.

A Unified Approach to Your Family's Wellness.

Our therapists are trained to see the "big picture." We integrate family support into every level of care, because we know it leads to more powerful, lasting change. Here’s how our approach applies:

For Mental Health (Anxiety, Depression, Trauma)

  • What it looks like: When a loved one is struggling with depression or anxiety, it can be hard to know what to say or do.
  • How we help: We work with your family to:
    • Improve Communication: Learn to talk about difficult emotions without blame or conflict.
    • Build Empathy: Understand what your loved one is experiencing and how you can offer genuine support.
    • Reduce Stigma: Create a home environment where it's safe to talk about mental health.
    • Change Dynamics: Identify and shift family patterns that may be unintentionally contributing to stress or anxiety.

For Behavioral Health (ADHD, ODD, Anger)

  • What it looks like: You may feel like you're in a constant power struggle, or that your home is filled with conflict and behavioral challenges.
  • How we help: Our approach is skills-based and collaborative.
    • Parent Coaching: We equip parents with new, effective strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
    • Create Consistency: We help all caregivers get on the same page to create a stable, predictable, and supportive structure at home.
    • Heal Relationships: We move beyond "bad behavior" to address the underlying needs and frustrations, helping to rebuild the parent-child bond.

For Substance Use Disorder

  • What it looks like: Addiction affects the entire family, often creating cycles of codependency, mistrust, and fear.
  • How we help: We focus on recovery for everyone.
    • Education: Help the family understand that addiction is a treatable health condition, not a moral failure.
    • Break Unhealthy Cycles: Identify and change enabling or codependent behaviors, replacing them with healthy support.
    • Establish Boundaries: Learn how to set loving, firm boundaries that protect your own well-being and support your loved one's recovery.
    • Rebuild Trust: Provide a safe, mediated space to address past wounds and begin the work of rebuilding trust.

For Eating Disorder Recovery

  • What it looks like: An eating disorder can fill a home with secrecy, anxiety around meals, and intense fear. Families often feel blamed or helpless.
  • How we help: We empower the family to be the solution.
    • Remove Blame: We start by making it clear: families do not cause eating disorders, but they are essential to recovery.
    • Empower Parents: For adolescents, we often use Family-Based Treatment (FBT), empowering parents to take charge of nutritional rehabilitation in a supportive, loving way.
    • Heal Mealtime: Work with the whole family to reduce tension and fear around food, creating a more peaceful home environment.
    • Support Siblings: Provide a space for siblings to share their own feelings of confusion or frustration and learn how to support their brother or sister.

You Don't Have to Navigate This Alone.

Your family has the power to be the greatest force for change in your loved one's life. You just need the right tools and a supportive guide.

Let's take the first step toward healing—together.

Take the Step.
